Kaitlynn Johnson

Director of Interior Design Services + Lead Interior Designer

Kaitlynn is an award winning and published interior designer that has been designing homes in the 518 for over a decade. She first discovered her love of design when her parents built their home on Saratoga Lake. During this experience, Kaitlynn became infatuated by the design/build process. After graduating from Cazenovia College with a BFA in Interior Design, Kaitlynn worked for an interior design firm in Saratoga Springs, NY where she found her love for custom window treatments and building relationships with clients to last a lifetime. Throughout her 8 year career with Bennington Furniture, now Old Brick Furniture & Mattress, Kaitlynn's work has been proudly displayed at multiple award winning Saratoga Showcase of Homes and Parade of Homes entries where her true style of livable, inviting spaces shines through.  Kaitlynn’s favorite space to design is the family room as it allows the mixing of fabric, leather, wood and metal creating a homey space where the entire family can unwind and create memories. When working on a new project, Kaitlynn prides herself on not only creating a beautiful space but creating a true reflection of her client’s personal style. When Kaitlynn is not beautifying the Capital Region she spends her time with her active young family crafting, gardening, and watching Harry Potter.  Meet and work with Kaitlynn at our Clifton Park or Queensbury NY Design Centers and let her put together a spectacular look for your home! Cori Klein

Interior Designer

With over two decades of experience, Cori has a profound passion for creating aesthetically pleasing and functional spaces. She began her journey in interior design with an internship in Baltimore, later refining her skills at The Art Institute of Portland. Her career includes 20 years at an architectural firm, Marshall Craft Architects, where she specialized in higher education and healthcare sectors, excelling in space planning, finish and fabric selections, and producing detailed construction documents using tools like AutoCAD, REVIT, and SketchUp. Her commitment to sustainable design is demonstrated by her LEED AP Interior Design + Construction accreditation, which serves participants in the design, construction, and improvement of commercial interiors and tenant spaces that offer a healthy, sustainable, and productive work environment. This aspect is very important in Cori's design career to provide productive, healthy spaces for end users while minimizing impact on our environment. Cori's career is marked by diverse experiences, including international work trips to Germany, Japan, and the US, where she gained insights into global design innovations. She also worked at HyperSpace in Baltimore, managing substantial furniture sales and handling project management and client presentations. Recently, she has contributed her expertise to Burr and Burton Academy in Vermont as an Interior Design consultant and DesignSpace/Maker Space Manager, assisting with campus projects and guiding students in their design endeavors. Outside of her professional life, Cori is an avid outdoor enthusiast, engaging in activities such as biking, running, hiking, climbing, canoeing, and backcountry skiing. She enjoys traveling, having skied in Alaska and Canada, followed the Tour de France, and climbed Kilimanjaro. At home, she indulges in organic gardening, mushroom foraging, sewing, and DIY projects, sharing these passions with her husband of 25 years and their two beloved black labs. Nicole Conlin

Interior Designer

Nicole joined the Old Brick Furniture & Mattress Co. team in 2021 bringing decades of design-know-how to the Albany/Capital Region. A life-long lover of all things design, Nicole studied at the New England School of Art and Design in Boston, MA. After these studies, Nicole shifted her focus of study to graphic and web design at Boston University's Center for Digital Imaging Arts. Nicole’s unique background in home-furnishings, interior design and graphic/digital arts affords Nicole the ability to visualize spaces in both the 2-D and 3-D realm. One of Nicole’s favorite parts of the interior design process is helping clients bring their vision to life. In recognizing that it’s often difficult to go from inspiration to completion, Nicole’s understanding of design and trends ensures that spaces are a reflection of one’s style.
